That's what I meant. I don't think Colette moved out just so Avia could cheer. I think it's an excuse. I just think it's ridiculous to change high schools just for cheer. I think they've already tried all sorts of ways to "fix" Shay's problems, but he seems to keep messing up. We only know of the CamGirl because she went public, but this (like the drinking) could have been something going on BTS for years and years.tkadvil wrote: ↑Mon Jun 24, 2019 9:52 amThe temple certainly does have a lot of involvement. I found this on a Mormon FAQ website:cristea123 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 24, 2019 4:00 amI do agree that based on the clues we've seen thus far online, I do believe their marriage has ended. However, my question is why are they still wearing their wedding/engagement bands? Could it be to keep up appearances? For their religion? I don't believe they're officially divorced but are legally separated and perhaps their church is heavily involved in this...

"Just as a civil marriage does not automatically translate into a temple sealing for a Mormon couple, a civil divorce does not unseal them. If a divorcing couple wishes to become unsealed, they must receive a cancellation of sealing, which requires approval from high-ranking church officials."
Maybe they're still wearing their rings because of this? They may have gone through divorce but didn't become unsealed. I don't know much about the religion so I'm not sure. It could also be what others said previously, they're still wearing the rings to keep attention away for now.
Also, at least two of her sisters (well, and Carlie) have been divorced, so she probably has plenty of support. Like Danna said, Shay is TOXIC and that's no way to live.
It does appear Shay and Colette are trading off the kids. Colette didn't just leave the kids with Shay...their other house is only about 20 minutes away from the compound. I do think Gavin will probably stay with Shay to continue going to the same high school. I bet the rest of the kids will primarily stay with Colette.
The instastories of Gavin jumping off the bridge are really disturbing to me. Right before he jumps, Shay says "Hey. I'm proud of you". So that's what he has to do to for Shay to say he's proud? How about being a good person? Reading lots of books? Nope. He has to endanger his life. He could have broken his neck.
And Brock and Daxton did it too, admittedly from a lower section.
