The more I look at the blurred "Bunny" at 34:12, the more it looks like Ryland in a wig. Please don't tell me this stupid fuck ass of a creator put his twink Sugar Baby in a wig to portray a moment in Brittani's heartbreaking story. I hope I'm wrong.
I do not think so. Probably more likely stock footage since they seem to use that often.
OT but I watched a chuck e cheese employee explaining the pizza thing and they claimed they're supposed to have so many slices per size, ofc. If they cut the pizza wrong, they'll cut single pieces off other pizzas to make the right amount of slices. It still sounds sketchy but it makes more sense than "they take the leftovers back." I've always enjoyed Shane's videos, but I wish he would explore the conspiracies more and try to explain what could be going on instead of the script being WHAT?? IDK! IT'S A CONSPIRACY! THAT'S CRAZY.
I’ve never posted here but I swear I’m not a Chuck E. Cheese employee (anymore) lol I just always lurk
Anyways, I worked at CEC for 5 years and nobody recycles that pizza LOL it looks like absolutely shit when it sits out for long. And it reheats terribly. If it was reused, it would be like dull rubber.
The reason it looks shady is the weird bumpy trays. The high school employee does a shitty job cutting it on a cutting board then slides it onto they bumpy tray. The cutting board is heavy and the prices just sort of slide onto the board into weird positions.
Bringing it back to the pizza thing, why didn't they order the "special" pizza (the one CEC would have to make brand new)?? That would have helped their theory. If they couldn't make a brand new pizza/a pizza with just the onions or whatever shouldn't Shane have mentioned that to help his theory?
Lord, Shane's like a high schooler with goals of being an indie filmmaker - everything is overedited and flashy, with no concept of story line, pacing, or audience engagement. Worse still, every other youtuber is wanking on about how great he is.
In the Jake Paul series, the basic premise of the whole thing, that of mental health, dropped away as soon as Shane could find a bad guy to blame everything on, and we saw no meaningful conclusion.
In this "series" we have a deep fakes story in part one with Shane drawing the conclusion that women could fake domestic abuse proof. Then in part two, we have a domestic abuse story in which Shane chooses to show the face of the abuser. If that's his idea of a link between parts, he really needs to reexamine his concept of storytelling. If it was simply the most apparent use to him, he needs to rethink his concept of morality.
Beyond that disrespect was Andrew's giggling and the hard cuts.
If you're going to have three stories that you cut between at random, there has to be some sort of shared payoff, something that pulls everything together for a satisfying end point. Instead, we got a mishmash of ideas, interspersed with stock footage. Shane, you're rich, pay for a basic film making course, for the love of god. This isn't art, this is an ADHD mind on film.
Yeah the stock footage offers nothing. It’s just filler. I feel like that is probably what takes him the longest to find/edit as well. Totally useless waste of time. No one is watching to see stock footage.
I believe Shame hit his stride when he began making longer videos 3 times a week. The series about Blaire and his dad (even extending to visiting Bunny in Texas) felt genuine with a relatable production value that didn't exhaust him or the viewers. He also hadn't bought into his own hype and decided the only videos he was going to post would be movie-lengthed and overproduced.
I don't know if anyone agrees, but taking months off and only making videos that can be highly anticipated and praised is what ruined Shane for me. He complains about how tired he is from editing... but nobody asked him to be so fucking extra? I was much happier when he did less work 3 times a week. He's setting himself up for failure if he follows the narrative that every upload must be bigger and better than the one before. Seriously, go spend a few nights in a haunted Long John Silvers with your friends, Shane. Stop being so damn pretentious.
innocent chuck e cheese employee doing his job: *walks past abandoned table, makes mental note that it needs to be cleaned up*
shandrew: HES OBSERVING THE PIZZA TO RECYCLE IT!!!
and yes, shane, the young girl working there is going to act weird when the creepy ass man in his 30s with no child and a camera walks up and starts grilling her about the goddamn pizzas
I worry about Shane's longevity with his newfound schedule. These 2 - 3 month breaks between series are gonna get old quick when all we have to break it up are 2 hour documentaries no one wants to rewatch. It doesn't even feel like we got four hours on content. He's been on YT 10 years but these people just now tuning in might now stick around long and the older fans that dislike this content are gonna unsubscribe that flies. I really am a fan, I'm just starting to dislike the way his channel is heading.

However Shane does have a hardcore fan base, you see the people unable to see the bad editing basically waiting for him to have a netflix series. (If that happens and he's still putting out content like that, then.. I'm gonna be disappointed). It's whether his hardcore fans will stay and whether new fans will really be tempted to stick around for another six months for him to upload another bad conspiracy video.
I feel like part of the reason he edited it the way he did was so it was harder to skip through the bullshit filler and parts you didn’t want to watch. Like if he had done the two ‘conspiracies’ at the start and ended uwith Brittani’s story I feel like a lot of viewers would have just skipped straight to the end.
It wasn’t part of the reason it was the ONLY reason. I bet you they had originally edited the video as three separate “acts” but upon reflection realized that 2 of the 3 “conspiracies” were stupid as fuck, so they came up with that genius new editing idea that made the video release be delayed.
I had so many issues with this, going from seeing a clip of her crying to a clip of them acting like morons because of the pizza thing or laughing about the new technology crap really annoyed me, and knowing that by every chance this is the actual reason why he did it just makes me more annoyed about it ..
... Not to mention the bit of him going in the kitchen to talk about what Brittany had just said, I just found it so cheap and tactless, I mean, this videos wasn't about Shane being a moron who can't tell that Jake Paul is just repeating word for word what someone thought him to say to use Shane's documentary to clean up/revive his imagine, this video was about a friend of his who has gone through hell and that didn't need him acting like a dick about it, that part felt so "fake dramatic" and since it was about something so serious and personal to a friend of his it just pissed me off beyond belief
I read Britanni's book before I even knew Shane was doing a video on her and it broke my heart.
I've been abused emotionally and mentally and a lot of people invalidated my experience bc my abuser was a master manipulator who made me seem stupid and weak for falling for his shit, and a lot of people just told me I was too sensitive and it was my fault.
I feel awful that she went through that and that people are victim blaming and shaming her.
I hate that Shane handled it the way he did. I was a fan of him since I was in 5th grade literally and I felt so connected to him and thought it was so cool that we shared a birthday.
Has anyone noticed that Shane has deleted videos worth over 40'000'000 views in the last couple of days?
I wonder which ones they were.
3lectraheart, I'm so sorry to hear that! I generally enjoyed the video but I think he should have made an entire video or series dedicated to Brittani.
I am not getting the point of mashing 3 individual stories into 1 single documentary. None of the stories relate to each other and the transitions were horrible.
It was almost as if we were in the mind of Garret lol.
I think Shane should have separated the stories by atleast 90%. If he wanted ppl to watch all 3 parts well then slowly introduce the narratives.
Also why not spend more time trying to debunk the theories? Like the pizza, go behind the scenes at CEC!! Go to the factory where the pizza is made! Interview parents whose kids turned into mini gamblers(lol), interview ex employees, become the creepy mouse for a night.
Would have been amazing if Shane went to visit Milosh (sp?) and get his side. Or go to his past jobs. All he did was talk to the poor woman on a couch.
I think this series just shows how immature Shane AND his fans are. To watch a documentary like Blackfish, Paris Is Burning or Food Inc and then see people praise this bullsh*t is just a conspiracy of it self.
Reeeally hated how the latest video was edited. I wish he'd have told one conspiracy at a time, or at the very least, made it clear when he had switched back to a different conspiracy. I can appreciate that he was trying out something different but it just didn't work for me. Enjoyed the content though.
Overall, the editing was trash & the series was not worth the wait. Brittani's story deserved so much better. That being said, I believe the pizza conspiracy for now. Maybe one day I'll order a "special" pizza and test it out like they were supposed to. Also, the inflation they mentioned was crazy. I remember getting plastic toys for like 5 tickets as a kid and now they're like 100? wtf??
