Bailey acts like a high-schooler tbh. Actually I shouldn't say that, because I'm in high school and I'm more mature than she is. Brooklyn is far more bearable for so many reasons.Hoe4Christmas wrote: ↑Thu Apr 11, 2019 2:24 pmholy shit bailey is so annoying i wish brooklyn would just make her own channel i really like her

They still have a phone curfew??? wtf lmao
Honestly there is no reason to be reading your child's messages unless you think they might be in a dangerous situation. Mindy sounds like the mom that would read their diary if they had one.
I bet they track the twins location every day too.
Freaks.

She also admitted she did it to protect their brand, since bad messages leaked could hurt them. It sounded like she was more concerned with their image, rather than Brooklyn feeling down or wrongly insulting Parker.paperbag wrote:Thu Apr 11, 2019 6:45 pmThey still have a phone curfew??? wtf lmao

Re: Brooklyn and Bailey
The whole phone contracts and restrictions thing rubs me the wrong way as well. Like you guys said, it's a massive invasion of privacy and dangerous in this day and age. Mindy took Rylan's phone, which forces Rylan to have to walk a mile away to talk to a friend who may not have even been home. Sure a mile isn't that far away and they live in a nice, upscale community, but anything can happen to anyone, anywhere. Jaycee Dugard was kidnapped in front of her own house in view of her stepfather. Rylan was probably only 12 or 13 at the time, and not only was she unneccessarily being put in a potentially harmful situation, but she had no way of contacting anyone if something were to happen.
Personal story that relates to the topic:
Mindy is sharing all of those personal stories in an attempt to portray herself as a caring, protective mom, but all she's doing is showing herself as an inconsiderate control freak. She doesn't realize these stories make her look more bad than good.

Re: Brooklyn and Bailey
^That mile walk for Rylan also irked me. They said they didn't have a landline, so Rylan literally had no contact to the outside world, since there was no general phone to use. I get that they had rules and she broke them, but forcing your kid to walk a mile just to say hi to someone is insane. she's also at a prime socialization age, so she might have been left out of her friend group or gotten lonely easily. It's not like she has her siblings to hangout with. The adopted ones are too young, the triplets stick to themselves, and Mindy either wants to be friends with the triplets or has to cater to dax and paisley.

I can’t believe she cared more about her daughter brand then what her daughter was feeling and needing to vent in first breakup.
Re: Brooklyn and Bailey
I vote for Brooklyn & Bailey - Baylor Brats!
Brooklyn’s storytime video was interesting. She was so mature but Bailey - oh, Bailey - absolutely, 110%, did not need to be in the video. They used to do solo videos! In their old videos, every once in awhile one twin would be missing due to being sick.

Re: Brooklyn and Bailey
Long time lurker, first time poster, but is anyone else mildly concerned about the twins literally having NOTHING for themselves? They've shared a room their entire lives, did the same extracurriculars in high school, ended up going to the same college for the same major, and are now in the same sorority. I'm sure a lot of it is "their choice," but I really hope that behind the scenes Mindy and Shawn are encouraging them to separate. Well, maybe not Mindy, since we saw from her book how concerned she is about their "brand," but Shawn's got a twin and twins run in his family, surely he can see how much good independence would do for them?
At minimum, I'd like for them to get another car; it'll at least be a step toward independence. When Rylan turns 16, do you think she'll get her own brand new car? Or will Mindy and Shawn make Kamri share, at least until she goes to college?

Re: Brooklyn and Bailey
Hi, welcome!! Totally agree about the B+B doing 100% everything together, but I don't think it was necessarily their choice...like at all. Every single thing has a deeper meaning. The twins' youtube channel was well established from the start due to Cute Girls Hairstyles, and Mindy probably had a plan for them once she realized they could capitalize off of something like that. YouTube was still very young at the time, and it was easier to get noticed by viewers. The fact that they've had the same exact schooling, classes, extracurriculars etc their entire lives might be because it puts them on the same playing field. Instead of developing their own talents and passions, I would assume Mindy recognized that they were marketable young girls and actually wanted to keep them identical. I believe the fact that they chose Baylor is also driven by the parents. Even if B+B went to different colleges and created separate channels, they wouldn't be as profitable as the cult following they already have. I'm not saying Mindy and Shawn are bad parents, but they (especially Mindy) probably knew the channel would not continue on a regular schedule (aka be profitable) unless the twins were together. Even now many of the videos are prefilmed. Since being at Baylor they've filmed maybe 6 on campus videos. I wish they would make more college content that was actually relatable, like "college day in my life," "college weekend in my life: football game," "trader joes haul, going to the library, getting our nails done!" type of videos. Like you said, it's all about the stupid "brand," when they could be experimenting with other things on their channel.wastelandbabey wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2019 5:12 pmLong time lurker, first time poster, but is anyone else mildly concerned about the twins literally having NOTHING for themselves? In terms of the car, I don't think the twins will have separate cars anytime soon. If they do, it's probably going to be because they decided to pay for it themselves and want the luxury of having a car to themselves. I don't see Mindy volunteering to buy another car. She has 6 kids...I know they have the money but like recent posts have discussed here before, Mindy's channel seems to be rapidly dwindling and in dangerous territory of being demonetized, or it already has been..not sure which. I hope Rylan will get a car. She is so sweet and honestly my favorite. I love how she isn't a robot like the other girls and doesn't bother with a channel because she genuinely doesn't care about that kind of thing. I also doubt Mindy will make Kamri share her car because Kamri is a princess and in my opinion, the favorite child. I know Brooklyn and Bailey are probably bringing in the most money now, but Kamri is on the rise and honestly more relatable than the others.

Re: Brooklyn and Bailey
She also put all of her kids into modeling/acting as a child, and of course, B&B were always booked for twin roles (ex: played twins in Adventures of Food Boy, did a twin print campaign for ice cream, gum, etc). They've always been morphed into one person.youtube_obsessed843 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2019 6:58 pmHi, welcome!! Say what... graduate a year early? (Their latest story). Can't figure out how to load screenshot here but essentially Bailey put they are on track to graduate early, and are looking at taking extra classes ...
This isn't really a thing in the UK, so I don't understand how they can graduate early.

Re: Brooklyn and Bailey
This is possible in the US, but usually doesn't take place out of the students choice. If you take AP college classes in high school, like the twins did, then you enter your freshman year of college with several college credits. Usually this fulfills your core classes. In the case of the twins, they likely had enough credits to fulfill one year of college (8 classes) or close to one year. Meaning, they would only need to overload or take one additional summer class or something. Typically, students choose not to graduate early and instead use the AP credits to allow them to double major or take less classes each sem so that they can work more or something like that. If the twins just plan to graduate with one major and no minors then they could easily graduate in 3 years.emmer_mo wrote: ↑ Say what... graduate a year early? (Their latest story). Re: Brooklyn and Bailey
The CGH views right now are pitiful. I thought they were going to try and rebrand? I don't know what niche they plan on going after, esp since the only two things they were really qualified for have dried up in views. It seems like Mindy's trying to go the parenting route, but that's not popular on YT.

Re: Brooklyn and Bailey
Oh, 50 minutes makes sense now that I see it’s three days a week. My college didn’t follow the MWF/TR schedule so we only had either two days a week at an hour fifteen or one day a week for two hours and forty-five minutes. Thanks for the responses y’all.
