I think it's 2 ultrasound with any other insurance, unless there's something wrong.

7 weeks was probably when she first found out and that's normal. They need to confirm its viable and in the womb. Not ectopic or anything else.

After, its usually around 12 weeks then 20. Then MAYBE one late in pregnancy if its close and you don't have signs of labor yet. A lot of people only get 2-3 total if nothings wrong.

I saw a doctor post this: "Usually I do 3. An early US to verify dates. A nuchal screen at 12 weeks and then a 20 week anatomy scan. If there is a problem later such as large or small for dates I will do one more."

Whether 2, 3, even 4, we can all agree that 9 is ALOT!!!

I could be wrong, but seemed like she had a lot of appointments. The week spacing seemed off. :?

If You have sex a lot, it's hard to figure out when you got pregnant.
These two must not have sex a lot, if they say they got pregnant in a week! They probably only had sex that week lol

^^ yeah i thought that in the videos they never talked about week 12 and 13 (referring to msmom's post) so 12 ultrasounds? and why week 12 and 13?? i wonder if that's where the doctor saw something...

I'm currently pregnant, and I live in Canada. They only offer us 1 ultrasound at 20-21 weeks to make sure how everything is developing. I had 3 ultrasounds done so far. One at 11 weeks, I was cramping severely and had to go to the emergency room. The other at 21 weeks, and at 28 because I switched doctors and she wanted her own reports. I have lots of cousins in the US that had kids there and they never got that many ultrasounds. One of my cousins is pregnant and she has to start having ultrasounds every week because they found anti bodies in her blood, and when her baby is born he might be anemic.

Also, is it normal to have a doctors appointment every week???? especially that early in your pregnancy. I'm 30 weeks atm and I only see the doctor once a month. When I hit 32 weeks I start seeing her biweekly. Everything seems odd to me about Apes pregnancy.

^ interesting how countries are diff. I do think that 1 USG total is less, but then again, back in the day...there wasn't even that technology and I think my mom didn't have too many either.

But you are right about visits. I've forgotten the general "rule" but i think its once a month for 1st trimester, then 2 x a month, then near then end, weekly. Ape was going a lot!!!!

My sister is 20 weeks pregnant and so far she only had 2 ultrasounds. One to confirm it and the second to find out the gender. So I'm sure the doctors knew something was up that's why she had so many to make sure they were going to have the perfect white baby with blue eyes

April's baby

Post by Just_saying »

I'm pregnant with my 2nd baby, 36 weeks right now and so far I've only had 3 (If I remember)
One was when I first found out I was pregnant.
Second one, finding out the gender.
And I got a third one because they wanted to make sure my EDD (estimated delivery date) was correct.
But that's all, I'm surprised no one ever mentioned this before about how she had about 9 ultrasounds.

ETA: My appts was once a month up until now, it's every two weeks. (when I had my first baby, in the third trimester it would be weekly appts but I guess now that I've been living on a military base, they don't like to do it weekly lol)

My doctor would not even do the first ultrasound appointment to confirm pregnancy until 12 weeks. Then I had two additional ultrasounds including the 3D/4D anatomy scan at the perinatal specialist's office with both of my daughters.

I've only heard of any of my friends having frequent ultrasounds when they were at high risk (age 40 or one friend had gestational diabetes).

The two consecutive ultrasounds at 12 & 13 weeks is really concerning. The doctor must have asked her to come back because he noticed something.

Oh, oops, I didn't mean when I first found out I was pregnant I got an ultra sound, I believe when I was at least 10 or so weeks was when I had my first ultra sound. Also meaning like my first actual appt. I don't count peeing in a cup and doing paperwork my first appt.

I haven't been on here in awhile but I saw someone comment on April's instagram about Liam having autism. Did they finally come out and address it or was that just someone pointing out the obvious?

That's a comment that will probably be deleted soon lol - They haven't addressed anything about his development. As far as they're concerned, bubba wubba is fine even though he's not walking, talking etc

Loam has almost all the symptoms. I'm pretty sure he has Fragile X!!

What Are the Symptoms of Fragile X Syndrome?
Fragile X syndrome results in learning disabilities, developmental delays, and social or behavioral problems. Disabilities vary in severity. Male patients usually have some level of intellectual disability. Female patients may have some intellectual disability or learning disability or both, but many women with fragile X syndrome will have normal intelligence. These women might only be diagnosed with fragile X syndrome if another family member is also diagnosed.

People with fragile X syndrome may show a combination of the following signs as children and throughout life:

developmental delays, such as taking longer than normal to learn to sit, walk, or talk compared with other children of the same age
stuttering
intellectual and learning disabilities, such as having trouble learning new skills or information
anxiety (general or social)
autism
impulsiveness
attention problems
social problems, such as not making eye contact with other people, disliking being touched, and trouble understanding body language
hyperactivity
seizures
depression
difficulty sleeping
Some people with fragile X syndrome have facial or other physical abnormalities. These may include:

a large forehead or ears with a prominent jaw
an elongated face
protruding ears, forehead, and chin
loose or flexible joints
flat feet

You guys can read the whole article from the link below. It is very interesting!!

So I'm torturing myself and going back and watching all of their pregnancy vlogs to see if anything seemed off during that time. Man, I'm only on the "8 weeks Secret Pregnancy vlog" and justink cried so many more times than Ape. This is so weird, my husband hasn't cried once :?

Liam's pajamas are too big. You can see on his feet that they're sagging. They're supposed to fit snug. Hope he doesn't trip on it and fall. Also why is he wearing long sleeve footed pajamas in summer.

He might be wearing 18-24 months size.
My baby sometimes wear his like that. He's short but have a wider body. So, he can fit in the body pretty snug but the foot part is too long because of his height.
I stopped dressing my baby in those PJ's since spring. He sleep in shirt only.
I doubt their house is cold since April doesn't like it cold. Liam probably sweating all the time
