I see these touted a lot in the YT community, do any of you have one and would you say that it's worth it?
I finally googled them and was pretty shocked at how expensive they are, I thought they'd be $70-75 at the most.
My dentist recommended using an electric toothbrush recently (he didn't specify Sonicare). I've had a cheap electronic one in the past but still found myself reaching an 'old-fashioned' toothbrush all of the time.

Re: Sonicare toothbrushes, worth it?
I have the Oral B electric toothbrush and I love it. It forces me to brush for the full 2 minutes because it beeps every 30 seconds so you are supposed to brush each quadrant of your mouth for that amount of time. it also has tons of settings for like power clean, whitening, sensitive teeth, settings if you have braces, etc. And it comes with a timer so you get a happy face when you brush the full 2 minutes.
My teeth are so super clean now, my gums are healthier and my teeth are just so smooth, I can really tell a difference.
My dad is a dentist so he got a discount, but I would definitely ask yours if he/she has any coupons for one especially since he recommended it for you. I think it is between $70-100 depending where you buy it.

I have the Sonicare pro-results something something (sorry, I forget its full name lol) and I love it. I can't imagine going back to a regular toothbrush. I got it at Wal Mart for $99 but I've seen other models in the $70 range during the holidays. I think you'll be really happy with an electric toothbrush. Any brand will get the job done. You just have to replace the brush heads every 3 months.

I don't have a Sonicare, but I do have an Oral-B one that I've been using for two months or so and I'm really happy with it! If you live in the US you may find them at a good price at Costco.
Re: Sonicare toothbrushes, worth it?
I went from a cheap Oral-B electric toothbrush (which I thought was great and would never think of going back to a non-electric brush) to a Sonicare. Oh my gosh. That thing is amazing. My teeth have honestly never felt so clean or healthy. I forgot it at my sister's and had to go back to using my Oral-B for a few days and my teeth just felt grimier.
What sells it for me is that my teeth still feel completely smooth/clean after being out all day. I use to feel like I had to brush my teeth midway through the day because I could feel them getting gross.
In my opinion, completely worth it.

I brought the Oral B Triumph 5000 the other week and wow I love it, so much more effective than my usual toothbrush. My partner used his haggling skills to get $15 bucks or so off it but I see it as an investment.
My dentist said it was a good idea as long as you use the sensitive brush heads with light to moderate pressure (she says she has seen many people wear away their enamel with excessive force).

My husband's dentist recommended that we get one when my husband had braces.
I feel like it was a really good investment. Costco usually has 2 Sonicare toothbrushes for $100 and comes with 2 chargers and extra brush heads. If you live in the states and have a Costco membership, maybe you can go halfies with someone, lol.

I had a SonicCare and I loved it. It really improved my gum health. Problem is mine broke and I haven't had the funds to replace it yet (I forget the model I had, but I paid $150 for mine).

My husband had one when we got married and I resisted using it for quite a few years, but now love it and wouldn't be without it. You don't need to use pressure at all. It does work so much better than regular brushing. It's def expensive and is made to last for years and years, except for changing out the heads so it's def a great and worthwhile investment. You won't be sorry. It will take getting used to though. I found the feeling of it weird at first.
