Did anyone find the early 2010's beauty guru standard just impossibly perfect?

It was literally sickening

If you weren't impossibly gorgeous you basically had no chance of having a successful beauty channel. The girls back then looked literally like talking dolls - not even the slightest imperfection. No pores, no acne, perfect hair and full makeup in every video (they rarely appeared without it even at the start of a tutorial). It was very daunting to try to live up to that standard back then. People say now there's a high beauty standard on social media - I disagree. I think it's been relaxed. We've also seen the rise of more inclusivity. I think back then it was just so narrow in terms of who could have a beauty channel and be an influencer. This alienated so many people.

I'd beg to differ that the beauty standards have gotten more rigid over the years
