Bath and Body Works candle problem

Post by Diorette »

I have several BBW candles and when the "wax" melts the flame consumes completely and disappears, this happens after a few minutes of having it.

Sounds like you have a bad one, can you take it back and exchange it?

This has been happening a lot to me with the candles I've gotten there recently (I think they were reformulated a few months ago?). I usually will just pour a little of the wax out and it solves the problem, but it's really annoying. If you want to take it back you can return stuff to BBW at any time, no matter how much you used.

I had this problem with the new "White Barn" label candles over the holidays! I used to love the BBW Slatkin label candles, but I agree that something is definitely different with these new "White Barn" ones. I'm with Incognito, though. I mostly just scooped a little bit of the wax out and everything was fine.

The problem is that it happens to every single one of them, I guess I won't buy them anymore.. they're not even that new

But I will pour a little bit of the wax out when it melts :) thanks girls.

Question while on this thread: I got my first bath and bodyworks candle (my dad HATES them, but he finally cracked and let me get one for my room) so I was wondering how far down you can burn them? Does all the wax end up dissipating eventually, or should I drain it, or what to dispose once it's "unburnable"? I'm about two thirds done.

That happens to mine, too. I keep the wicks trimmed but it doesn't help much.

Wow- I never do any maintenance for my Peach Bellini candle and it still burns. Am I crazy, or is the quality going a bit down lately? I notice the Christmas edition of Peach Bellini does not smell as strong as previous editions and burns faster. :/ Anyways, I usually only burn them 3 hours max though.

Honestly, my main problem with the candles (3 wicks that is) is that they are way to expensive! Like 22.50?? Really?? I am all for the scents and I love the atmosphere when I step in, but wow.
I also feel like every time I step into a B&BW I get stared at a lot by the customers, because (and not trying to offend) I don't "look" or "dress" like a girly girl. Every time I step into the store I see white girly girls everywhere. And then there's me....black everything.

I got 3 wicks candle for $8 right before Christmas. It seemed like it was the right time to get candles from Bath and Body Works.

I believe that if it had happened to you in two candles you would have the opportunity to claim but since you have already occupied several I do not know how you can fix your problem.
