Alright I tried forcing myself to watch Julien's vlog about Kermit's injury to know if this is true, but my god that shit in unwatchable...

Jesus. The entire vlog looks like it was filmed during an earthquake and these two babble on for ages without saying anything...

Anyways from the little I watched - they mention Julien wasn't home when it happened and then they gloss over to the two of them taking Kermit to the vet. I'll give Jenna the benefit of the doubt and assume Julien was already on his way home and just a few minutes away. Or maybe they share a car and waiting for him was faster than getting an Uber.

I just listened to it while I've been working. I have to agree, it was a great podcast because she wasn't putting on a show. She didn't do so many stupid voices, and was really relaxed, even all the dogs were calm and slept through the whole thing. She's a smart and capable woman. Being in a relationship is nice, but it shouldn't consume you. It was really nice to see her embrace the time alone and connect with her viewers.

I actually liked the podcast this week. It seems like Julien is usually in control of it so it's nice that Jenna could do what she wanted. He seems controlling in general but I'm just speculating.

Exactly this! The only thing that bummed me out while reading the comment; were there were so many that said, "wow, she really handled her own" and "Jenna did such a good job by herself". Like yeah, of course she did. They either weren't around or have forgotten that she used to hold her own in her videos all the time. Before she started depending on and using Julien as a crutch for content, it was Jenna Marbles channel and she ran it independently. She's lost her identity so much that a handful of her viewers dont know who she is without Julien.

She finally did something alone - and it was fantastic! She cleaned herself up well. Nice makeup, she looks washed. What a change. Why does she try harder alone? Is it because she doesn't have a crutch with Julien? Regardless, I'm happy for her. I just hope she can try to do this with her own channel again. She can absolutely get on the ball when she needs to. She goes through phases, eventually this one will end and she'll find something else that makes her laugh. Julien and Jenna seem on their way out though. They've had this agro in their relationship for the last few months. It's weird to watch.

Very sorry for Julien and understand why Jenna would choose to spend time with him vs stream on Twitch tonight, but I'm a selfish person and I was bummed we wouldn't get to see her go solo for one more thing. Haven't had time for the podcast yet and I'm optimistic given the comments here. Regardless, hoping Julien's pain eases soon.

I hope Jenna reads the comments on her video and realizes what an impact she has on her viewers. More and more people are writing how much they enjoyed her podcast and they hope she does more like the one from today. As much as they like her fuckery, she has an ability to speak on real issues. It was what people were initially drawn to her and her channel for. Being relatable but also being herself. As someone mentioned before the voices and memes and baby talk is an act. That performance is tiring and played out. I also wonder if she started acting like that because she thought its what her fans ( mostly teen to 20 yr old girls) think is funny. Which they clearly do. But she sells them short not thinking they could use real life advice.
Which they also clearly do, judging by the comments. So next time she wants to make a lazy video of gluing a bunch of nails to her forehead, I hope she stops, regroups, and refers back to her original setup and make a video that people can connect with. It doesn't need to be every week. But less Julien and more connecting with her viewers would benefit not just jenna but her sometimes vulnerable, and impressional fans.

I loved the Jennacast so much! I'm proud of her. She gave such great advice, her words are so refreshing and intelligent. She looked pretty, she wasn't being too crazy or annoying (which seems to only come out when she's with Julien). She did it all without her crutch. We have to give her props honestly, she could have just not uploaded a podcast today and said they needed a week off like they've done before. But nope! She got through it anyway and did it herself. I still believe they are heavily codependent, but I think this also shows that she isn't completely dependent on him for absolutely everything. I think she just chooses to use him as a crutch, it's not so much she NEEDS him.

Also, not sure what's going on with Julien, I'm thinking it's a death in the family or someone is sick. But I hope things go well and he will be okay.
